Well, usually gay guys wear an ear ring in the left ear. Straight guys only wear ear rings in the right ear. So yes, I suppose a diamond ear ring in the left ear would make your avatar look gay. >_<

Back in the 80s, if a guy wore an earring in his left ear, it meant he was straight. If he wore it in his right ear, it meant he was gay. And if he wore it in both ears, it meant he was bi.

By the early 90s, guys wore earrings in whichever ear they wanted, and it wasn't uncommon to see guys with multiple piercings. I had 5 in my left ear and 3 in my right ear. As long as you had more in the left ear nobody questioned you.

I don't know what earrings mean to youth these days. I stopped wearing mine by the mid 90s.

To answer your question though.... NO, it won't make your avatar look gay.
