...solitaire diamond look ridiculously big?
I did see a full 2 ct. round diamond solitaire in person; I thought it was too big, but it was beautiful!

Try it on first. a 2ct diamond is big, but just to err on the side of caution try on rings first. You might end up liking a smaller diamond.

And huge diamonds can snag on almost everything btw.

I wear a size 5 ring and felt anything over 1 carat was too big for my small hands. I ended up with a gorgeous .75 carat heart-shaped solitaire. I LOVE IT!

I have a classmate who wears a size 3.5 and she has a princess cut ring that is just over 2 carats. It looks ridiculous! It looks tacky on her finger. She wanted the biggest stone her now husband could afford. She chose a large stone that was low quality. My ring out sparkles hers even if I haven't cleaned it in a month! (An easy test is to look at diamonds next to each other, which ever one sparkles more i susually the better quality stone!)

I think a smaller stone of good quality is much better than a larger stone any day! Besides, I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing such a huge stone on a day to day basis. Look for quality over quantity. You'll be happy you did!

I have a size 6 finger and a 1ct diamond....and it looks huge. I would not go with a 2ct unless it has some other meaning with it (such as it was passed down in your family or something.) But a 2ct would look like you just went to the mall and bought some cheap CZ ring that all those 15 yr olds run around wearing.

Yes it will....i went ring shopping and tried on different carat sizes for rings..im going with a 1. carat and yes it looks pretty big..they even recommended that I get a .75 because of my small hands..but we got the stone from a family ring so we are going with a 1 carat

go to the store and try diffrernt ones on...you'll know right away what feels right for you

There is no such thing as a diamond that is too big...if ANYONE says that your diamond is "too big" or "tacky" or "costumey" then they are just JEALOUS..plain and simple!

Not necessarily, especially not if you fingers are a bit on the thick side.
