Mine dose for me. My ring was/is his class ring. It’s special to me because we have a long distends relationship and this way I always have a piece of him with me. Plus I’m a huge country music fan and one of my favorite songs is She’s in Love With The Boy by Trisha Yearwoods’s and he made requested for that song on my favorite radio before he proposed. "That should have tipped me off right there."

My promise ring was his birthstone, which was like having him with me at all times. It was a gorgeous aquamarine ring.

My engagement ring is a heart-shaped diamond solitaire because now I have his heart forever. :-)

it does because my fiance was the kind of guy to never really show his affection to anyone

and he never really thought about his future, always thinking present never future, well not with a partner anyways

and i was his first girlfriend that he actually told his parents that he loved me

so when he proposed i knew this was a big step for him and i cherish that ring so much. i clean almost every other day and i display it to everyone. (especially when his ex's are in ear-shot, childish i know, but it makes me smile)

i love my engagement ring, it even has our names engraved on the inside of it.

i don't plan on buying a wedding ring, i only want this ring!

I think every1's engagement should have a special meaning. Whether it's a symbol of getting through a tough relationship and finally, you two got through it. Or a symbol of your love and devotation to each other. For me my ring is special because he picked it out for me himself, he had no idea what I liked in jewerly as in gold, white gold etc. And he did a wonderful job and picked something I absolutely love. When I look at my ring I smile because it's showing the world that I'm inlove and someone is inlove with me and we are going to be together forever

my fiance let me pick out my own ring. i picked a sapphire ring to represent "Something blue" which is a symbol of love, fidelity, and purity.
i also picked a sapphire because our daughter was born in September. there are two diamonds on either side representing both of us coming together as a family. if in the future we have another child then the sapphire can mean the love we have for our family that we have created.

Of course it does! My fiance ( according to his mother ) stressed out about my ring for a few months before he bought it, he decided nothing fit me right so he worked with a jewler and had one deisgned just for me! It means so much to me because he put so much effort into picking out the perfect ring for me, and it was so important to him, and I absolutely love it! ( even though its not something I would have picked out... shhhh!)
