White gold engagement ring with yellow gold band?

I inheirted my great-grandmothers yellow gold wedding ring when she passed away when I was ten. It was put up and I diddnt think much about it till now, my boyfriend proposed and gave me a beutiful white gold solitare.
Can I have my inheirted yellow gold ring re-dipped or should I just wear the two together?

I wouldn't alter it, and you love your engagement ring, so get a simple white gold wedding band to match it.
I think a nice thing to do would be to wear it on your right hand on your wedding day, and on any other day it'll make you happy to see it on your finger. Then, you can pass it down to your child or grandchild in it's original state when the time comes.

Dipping will wear off. Wear them together. I have white and yellow gold on my bands and get compliments all the time. You can also have a 3rd wrap made that goes around both rings on your anniversary. Just talk to a jewelry designer. Take both rings in, and explain about the wrap and see what they have or can make. It is always better to solder them together to make them "wear" less.
